About FOCO Moto

Built by Riders.

We started FOCO Moto Adventures because Fort Collins sits at the doorstep of some of the best dual sport riding in the country — and most people drive right past it on their way to Estes Park.

The Story

FOCO Moto Adventures was founded by a group of Fort Collins locals who spent years riding the Poudre Canyon, Roosevelt National Forest, and the back roads of northern Colorado. We kept meeting visitors who rented big adventure bikes in Denver, got intimidated by the weight and complexity, and never made it off the pavement.

The Kawasaki KLX230 changed that. Light enough for any rider, capable enough for serious terrain, and simple enough that you're not babying it on a gravel road. We built our fleet around it because it's the right tool for this riding — not the most impressive bike on paper, but the most fun bike on the trail.

Every tour route we run is one we've ridden hundreds of times. Every tip in our route guides comes from real experience on these roads. We're not a rental counter — we're riders who happen to have extra bikes.

Your Guides

Every guide is a Fort Collins local with years of riding in this specific terrain. No hired hands, no seasonal staff — these are the people who built the routes.

How We Keep You Safe

Adventure riding carries real risk. We take that seriously — without making it feel like a liability waiver.

Full gear, every ride

Helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots are required on every rental and tour. We provide the first three; you need to bring or rent boots.

Pre-ride briefing

Every rental includes a 20-minute route briefing covering road conditions, fuel stops, cell coverage gaps, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Sweep vehicle on tours

All guided tours run with a support vehicle following the group. If you go down, get tired, or the bike has a problem, you're never stranded.

Guide certifications

All guides hold current Wilderness First Aid or higher certifications. Jake holds Wilderness First Responder — the highest pre-hospital standard for remote environments.

Matched to your skill level

We ask about your experience before every booking. If a route isn't right for your skill level, we'll tell you — and suggest one that is.

Maintained fleet

Every bike is inspected before and after each rental. Tires, brakes, and controls are checked daily during peak season.
